The "Gold Standard" for our Infant Skincare line...

Our Baby Oil is a best seller for both babies AND women. Our blend of organic oils are infused with calendula to create a nourishing, soothing,& moisturizing oil for baby and Momma!

Think about old-fashioned sun tea, and that's how we infuse the oils slowly with the calendula. We then hand-pour, in small batch, into our Baby Oil bottles.

Our baby oil contains a blend of Sunflower, Avocado, and Rice Bran oils; all infused with calendula. Below is some info on what makes these oils special; as well as, why calendula is the "gold standard" for us in infant skincare (& adults, to be honest) .

The baby oil is a great option for those choosing to oil wash their baby, & for use on cradle cap & dry spots on babies' faces due to drool/seasonal changes. It also makes a great dry body oil, & for stretch marks! Read on for more information on just how we achieve this, with this pure & simple, "naked" oil blend.

In a randomized, controlled trial, massaging premature infants with sunflower seed oil 3 times daily resulted in a 41% reduction in sepsis and a 26% reduction in mortality.(Source: LeFevre A, Shillcutt SD, Saha SK, et al. Cost-effectiveness of skin-barrier-enhancing emollients among preterm infants in Bangladesh. Bull World Health Organ. 2010;88(2):104-112.)

We promote that our baby products are made from oils infused with calendula. But, what exactly does that mean, and what's the importance of it? Why do so many customers find relief and success with these simple products? I like to say calendula is like gold for skin. When I formulated our baby products, having all of the oils infused with calendula was really important to me.

CALENDULA BENEFITS:

Calendula is in the marigold family. Who knew those simply flowers packed such a skin healing punch?! It's great for healing wounds, it has anti-inflammatory properties, it’s anti-microbial so it helps deter bacteria, fungus, and viruses, it’s a mild immune stimulant, it calms smooth muscle spasms, and so much more.

These petals contain high levels of antioxidants in the form of carotenoids and flavonoids. Calendula contains both lutein and beta-carotene, which the body absorbs and converts into vitamin A. It also possesses fatty acids, which help with collagen and reducing redness. This is also why women love using the baby oil as a dry body oil.

What does all of the mean in plain language? Most importantly, calendula is gentle and safe for babies' skin (& all humans).
